Gratitude
When I opened the online shop last Tuesday morning, it quickly sold out and – after pinching myself – I've been busy wrapping, packing, and shipping. Yesterday, Mike helped me with the last local pick-ups and deliveries, and we took ourselves out to a celebratory lunch.
Mike was celebrating the return of a calmer partner, and a bit of peace and quiet around the house. Today, I'll convert the "shipping department" back to our spare guest room for the holidays. And Mike will relish the absence of boxes, wrapping, packing – at least for a while.
In the meantime, I'm celebrating all of you.
Many of you have been encouraging me since the first day I opened my shop, way back when it was a brick-and-mortar storefront and studio. You visited, asked questions, gave me the opportunity to talk about what and why I do this. And you stayed with me over many years as my work evolved.
It's gone from basic forms to sculptures, and then back to functional pieces with etching and surface decoration. It's gone from a Main Street studio and gallery to a home-based operation and online store.
And many of you have followed me along the winding path to get here.
The constant in all of this is you and your support. You've given me the freedom I feel to play, the continual process of discovery. I'm learning every day. Your support and encouragement have made that possible.
I will be forever grateful.
Thank you.
