I named this platter "y" and I made it because I had to.
Sometimes, in the middle of working in orders or exhibition piece, I go off-script. Like I just HAVE to make something random. Often, it leads to more ideas and further exploration. That is why this piece came to be. I named it “y” and it has led me to further exploration of other imagery, and combining painting, sgraffito and pattern-making.
