Featuring a bright bloom of yellow and orange, this piece was etched in my woodcut-style technique and finished with a clear matte glaze and glossy cobalt blue.
Clear matte glaze: The imagery is covered with a clear matte glaze to highlight the texture and give contrast to the high-gloss cobalt glaze that surrounds it and lines the interior.
It is handmade and hand-etched using traditional sgraffito (etching) techniques in a contemporary way to create pattern and movement.
