Leaf Parade is a handmade shallow bowl that has been etched around the entire exterior with bold black leaves framed with striped borders. A matte orange glaze contrasts with the glossy exterior.
Add a touch of the handmade to your table. This piece is the perfect size for a small side dish or personal pasta/salad bowl.
The imagery was created in my woodcut-style design, using traditional sgraffito (etching) techniques in a contemporary way.
It was etched through a black underglaze, and then bisque-fired to approximately 1945 degrees/F. The etched section was covered with a clear glaze and the remainder glazed with a contrasting orange matte glaze. It was final fired to approx. 2200 degrees/F
