This piece is part of the Wall Tile Collection inspired by my year-long residency on the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, one of the last unspoiled public open spaces along the California coast.
ABOUT: This large handmade tile features a large salvia plant framed by etching of leaves and anchored with a butterfly on either side the bottom edge.
The piece is multi-fired with underglazes and glazes to achieve various colors and textures.
It is backed by a block of wood allowing it to sit slightly above the wall. It is ready to hang.
