A very fancy rabbit decked out with etched flowers, leaves and pattern is the star attraction on this mug. It is handmade and hand-etched using traditional sgraffito (etching) techniques in a contemporary way to create pattern and movement.
After etching and painting with underglazes in blues, oranges and yellows, the imagery was covered with a clear gloss. The remainder of the mug and interior has a black matte glaze that gives a pleasing contrast to the imagery.
